Lip fillers:

After getting injected with filler, some swelling can be expected in the 24-48 hours after, so your result will be slightly enhanced. Some bruising can happen as the skin is very vascularized, if you bled a lot, if you’re on your period, or if you drank the night/day before. Avoid doing the following:

1. Do not massage the area unless instructed by your doctor.

2. Do not apply ice to the injected area.

3. Avoid workout for 24-48 hours as instructed by your physician.

4. Avoid alcohol and smoking in the 24 hours after getting injected.

If you suffer from Herpes outbreaks or cold sores, tell your doctor to give you a preventative treatment. You can apply lipstick to the lips.
